Adzuki beans have been used for centuries by Japanese women to exfoliate their skin. In this mask, they are combined with organic quinoa to give the skin a gentle exfoliation, while moisturizing deeper layers of the skin. Wild-harvested red sandalwood powder tones and provides a finer resurfacing of the skin. But the real secret? Osmia mills the beans and quinoa themselves, which creates a "fresh-pressed" effect - like a protein bath for the skin. If you're in a rush, this powder may be used as a cleansing and exfoliating paste. But, if time allows, leaving it on as a mask will provide the skin with fortifying proteins, and a tightening action that leaves skin feeling both firm and soft, and smelling of earth and lavender.
Comes with a locally handcrafted ceramic bowl and bamboo mixing spoon.
For all skin types
To Use: Combine 2 teaspoons of mask with 1.5 teaspoons of water, and stir to make an even paste in the ceramic bowl. Gently spread the paste over your clean face and neck, leave on the skin for 10-15 minutes, and rinse off in the shower. It will feel tighter as it dries - just press it with wet hands or spray with mineral water to moisten if you prefer not to feel the tightening. Use gentle circular motions with the fingertips while rinsing. Use once or twice a week. This product is also wonderful mixed with raw honey.
(Note - this mask was previously called Protein Exfoliating Mask.)
